1. TO PLAY AND ENTER To play, go to www.sweetstakes.aol.com and click on The Baskin-Robbins/NBC Fall Sweetstakes banner/button to be taken to the 3D Memory Game. Entrants must provide an e-mail address and "Pin Number" from a Baskin-Robbins/NBC Fall Sweetstakes game piece available at participating U.S. Baskin-Robbins locations. For the nearest Baskin-Robbins location, click http://www.baskinrobbins.com. Or, if you do not have a Baskin-Robbins/NBC Fall Sweetstakes game piece, follow the online instructions which will refer the entrant to the official rules, with instructions to mail in a self addressed stamped envelope to Baskin-Robbins / NBC Game Piece, P.O. Box 3058, Saratoga, CA 95070-1058 to receive an entry piece via mail. VT residents may omit postage. Entry piece requests must be received by September 30, 2002. (Note: The 'Pin Number' is used for registration purposes only and has no bearing on the odds of being selected as a potential winner). After entering the "Pin Number" click "Continue." Follow the instructions to play the game, or bypass the game by clicking on the bypass button for immediate entry. Then, complete the registration form where entrants will be asked to provide their name, address, daytime telephone number, date of birth and email address. Please note that entrants will have to re-register with a new PIN number each day they wish to enter. To enter sweetstakes by mail, entrants must submit their name, street address, city, state, zip code, daytime telephone number and date of birth on a 3"x 5" piece of paper and mail in a stamped envelope to P.O. Box 3058, Saratoga, CA 95070-1058 . Mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 14, 2002. Mail in entrants may enter once per day during the Entry Period, and each entry must be mailed separately. No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. 2. GENERAL CONDITIONS Limit one (1) entry per person/email address per day for the duration of the promotion. For the purpose of the promotion, an online day shall mean a 24-hour period beginning at 12:01 AM ET and ending at 11:59 PM ET. Sponsors are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, or computer failures of any kind, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late, damaged, or postage due. Entries that are late, inaccurate, incomplete, illegible, lost, or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. All entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entrants using electronic entry must be the registered subscriber of the email account from which Game is played. In case of a dispute over the identity of a potential winner, Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to declare the winner to be the registered owner of the email account listed on the entry materials. The "registered owner" is the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsors may require proof to its satisfaction of entrant's registered owner status. 3. WINNER SELECTION Grand Prize Drawing - Each eligible entrant will receive one entry in the Grand Prize drawing for each eligible registration during the promotional period (see Rule 1 and Rule 2 above). Odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Grand Prize winners will be selected on or about October 21, 2002, in a random drawing from all eligible entries received by NewWorldIQ, an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding. The Grand Prize winners are subject to verification and eligibility confirmation. 4. WINNER ELIGIBILITY AND NOTIFICATIONS: Game open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 13 years of age or older as of September 3, 2002. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Baskin-Robbins Franchisees and employees of Baskin-Robbins franchisees, Baskin Robbins USA, Co., NBC, America Online, Inc., Trip.com, NewWorldIQ, their respective advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and any of their household members are not eligible. Grand Prize Winners - The Grand Prize winners will be notified by overnight delivery at the mailing address provided on the registration form. Grand Prize winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days of issuance of these notification documents. If any such prize documentation is returned as undeliverable, or if winner fails to timely return the properly signed affidavit and releases, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, it may result in disqualification and random selection of an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. If any Grand Prize winner is not 18 years of age or older, they must be accompanied on any prize travel by a parent or legal guardian, who must pay for his/her own expenses unless he/she is deemed a guest of the Grand Prize Winner. Each Grand Prize Winner (or his/her parent or legal guardian if Grand Prize Winner is a minor) must sign and return all documents required by Sponsors prior to travel. Guests of Grand Prize winners must be 18 years of age or older unless an immediate family member of winner, and will be required to sign and return a liability and publicity release prior to travel. Sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, including these rules, the offering or in the announcement of prizes nor are they responsible for determining eligibility of participants and winners. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsors and their designees to use any winner's name, biographical information, city, state, voice, photo, statements and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation worldwide and in perpetuity in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation online (unless prohibited by law). 5. Ten Thousand (10,000) First Prizes: Free Scoop of Ice Cream: Prize consists of coupon for one (1) free four-ounce scoop of Baskin-Robbins ice cream (Estimated Retail Value $1.60 each) Total estimated retail value of all prizes is $29,300. Actual value of Grand Prizes may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. Odds of winning are based on number of eligible entries received. All travel arrangements are at Sponsor's sole discretion, and must be made through Sponsors and on a carrier of Sponsors' choice), and certain restrictions may apply. Winners must be able to travel on dates specified by Sponsor. If any series is cancelled or otherwise not in production prior to travel, only the travel portion of the prize will be awarded and will satisfy all Sponsor obligations. The prizes are only as detailed above, with no substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in their sole discretion. Grand Prize travel must be completed by May 30, 2003, and winner and guest must travel together and on the same itinerary, and participate in all Prize-related activities together. Reservations must be completed 30 days prior to travel. Certain blackout periods and additional travel restrictions may apply. Car rental is subject to terms and regulations of rental agency. If the grand prize winner or guest do not meet age requirements for a rental car or do not have a valid driver's license, money equal to the amount of a car rental for four days will be provided to the winner to be used for alternate transportation. INTERNET If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the game or sweepstakes, Sponsors reserve the right in their discretion to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes/game and award prizes in a random drawing from eligible entries received at time of such action. Sponsors and NewWorldIQ assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries.
